During my recent trip to Wheldrake, I had the opportunity to stay at Lilac Studio. As someone who frequently travels and often stays in hotels, I must say that Lilac Studio has its advantages. the location of the property is very convenient for transit. Being just 13 km away from York Train Station and 55 km from the nearest airport, it saved me a significant amount of time and hassle. It provided a lovely outdoor space where I could relax and unwind after a long day of traveling.

One minor inconvenience was the size of the bedrooms.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the facilities I needed. The location was perfect, with convenient access to shops and a pub within walking distance. The off-road parking was also a great perk. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, hotel facilities, parking, and location.

Convenient and comfortable accommodation, perfect for my needs. Thankful for the free WiFi throughout the property. The location is great, with easy access to Leeds and a lovely garden.

Beds as firm as a rock, definitely not for those who enjoy a good night's sleep.

Convenient parking with good lighting. Spacious lounge with comfortable seating. Well-equipped kitchen and ample hot water. Ideal for 2 people, may feel tight for 4. Bins provided in all rooms. Good shower. Nice sun trap. Could use some improvements but would consider returning.

We found Lilac Studio to be great value for money, with a comfortable room and convenient location. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

Conveniently located, cozy and clean. Free WiFi throughout, and even a private entrance. Perfect for a relaxing stay, especially with the lovely garden. They thought of everything, like a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. A hidden gem in the North Yorkshire region.

Clearly, they didn't get the memo about the need for super plush beds and towels. But hey, who needs a cloud-like bed and luxurious towels when you have such a convenient location and a garden, right?

The beds! They are definitely 'firm'. Mattress toppers would help but good quality mattresses are always worth the investment in my book. The shower head was not very conveniently placed but adequate. A grab handle and anti-slip mat would have helped mum in the shower. And the best part? The garden! It was like stepping into a secret oasis, with lush greenery and colorful flowers. It felt like a slice of paradise where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.
